How Do I Lose Weight Using the NutriBullet?

You want to lose weight with the NutriBullet and we're here to show you how!

Here at NutriBullet, we emphasize healthy living over weight loss, but we understand that with weight loss comes increased cardiovascular health, increased energy, increased immune strength, increased self confidence and countless other benefits - so if you want to lose weight with the NutriBullet, listen up!

Getting Started

Start by using your NutriBlasts as meal replacements. If you have a NutriBlast in addition to your daily meals, you will begin adding calories to your daily intake, which is a no-no for your waist line!

I often substitute breakfast or lunch with a NutriBlast, which gives me the energy I need to get through the rest of my day.

Try starting with our 6 Week Transformation Plan - the perfect plan for NutriBullet newbies found right in your NutriBullet User Guide. It's a three phase plan (each 2 weeks long) that substitutes 1-2 NutriBlasts a day in place of a meal. Although it's not specifically a weight loss plan, it has shown countless people the basics of healthy eating, which has inevitably led to dropping pounds.

Looking for something tailored to your weight loss needs? Try our newest Slim-Down Transformation Plan - a 30 day meal plan of delicious, satisfying and deeply nourishing recipes to detoxify your system and rev up your body's fat-burning abilities.

These are specific plans that can help you lose weight - but remember, Blasting helps you take in an incredible amount of nutrients; you don't necessarily need a plan if you want to see weight loss.

Recipes

Everyday recipes can help, too!

Use a variety of recipes - varying your whole foods can help speed up your weight loss in different ways, such as:

  • satiating your appetite and reducing overall food consumption

(grapefruits, persimmons, greek yogurt and more)

  • balancing your blood sugar levels

(nopales, cinnamon, mixed berries and more)

  • boosting your metabolism so you can burn fat more quickly

(rutabagas, coconut, apple cider vinegar and more)

Try the following super slimming and delicious NutriBlast recipes and remember: keep changing it up! Variety is the spice of life and the key to shedding pounds!

Remember the Basics

  • Remain mindful of the total amount of calories in your NutriBlast and how that plays into your daily allotment.
  • When Blasting, try using more veggies than fruit, or use low sugar fruits like berries that won't spike up your sugar levels.
  • Finally, don't be scared of any whole food! Our bodies use healthy fats and protein, like those found in hemp seeds, a few almonds or walnuts or some cooked quinoa, to balance our bodies' metabolism and give us energy.

Actually, Serenity is wrong about Stevia (and other sugar replacements) not messing with blood sugar. As soon as your tongue tastes sweet, it sets off the same chain of events as sugars. So your pancreas still secretes insulin even though there is no "sugar" to act upon. I always wondered why Stevia and other subs made me feel weird, then I found out. So sugar substitutes is NOT always the way to go. You could be doing more harm than good with them!

Hi ! Protein in every meal will help you loose weight !! Cut back on carbs .. Eat healthy carbs like you get in fruits and veggies as brown rice .. Sweet potato. So a great filling breakfast with nutri blast in large nutri bullet cup ... is 2 cups of greens. I use baby spinach (sometimes with kale mix), two little source Greek yogurt (1 point each for Weight watchers program) few splashes of lemon juice, frozen berries (cranberries/ blueberries/ mixed berries/ and little pineapple) I use 3 packs of Stevia (won't mess with sugar levels, healthy sweetner all natural) then fill up with water. Mix and enjoy. The yogurt is your protein / you get your greens in and healthy fruits. You can add Chia seeds which expand in your stomach as they absorbs fluids and fill u up. LOVE MY NUTRI BULLET. Taking it with me on my vacation to Cayman Islands. Cannot go a day without it !!!! (If on WW this is a two point meal !!!)

My experience is that I lost just over 20 lbs. in just over 5 weeks. Breakfast: 3/4 serving of Oatmeal and 2 egg beaters with plenty of onions, tomatoes, peppers. Midmorning: Nutribullet with MORE veggies (kale, celery, carrots, lettuce, radishes, spinach) than fruit (apple, pear, 1/2 banana, berries of all sorts, flax-seed, pineapple), and ONE equal (I know ... not good). And no, I don't eat all of those fruits and veggies at the same time. Lunch: A lot of lettuce and/or kale and/or spinach with purple onion, carrots, some nuts, some raisins, and vinegar only. One (sometimes 1.5) serving of chicken or fish or turkey. midafternoon: see midmorning. Dinner: see lunch (minus the raisins and nuts). OH AND VERY IMPORTANT: walk AT LEAST 2 miles per day (I do about 4) at least 6 days per week. It won't work without this. Slow pace is fine. I drink coffee with a (measured) teaspoon of powdered cream and 2 or 3 equals (I know! Not good) as often as I want. This is a food plan I can handle. I do go through hunger and sometimes quite a bit. I just drink coffee between snacks and meals. And, except for one day, I have followed this food plan perfectly for 5 weeks. Other than the vegetables, I do measure and weigh foods/servings a little bit. I figure (based on online resources) I need about 2100 calories per day to maintain weight, and with my food plan I eat 1400 calories or less. It is low calorie and very very nutritional. For the most part it is "(lean) dead animals and stuff that grows on trees." AND nutribullet has made it a pleasure. Oh I put small chunks of ice first and cold water. I put water way below the recommended water level. This way the drink is cool and thick. :)

Hi Krista! I had gastric bypass in 2013, and have lost over 120 lbs, now I have gained some back, etc. and I have the Nutribullet blender, and need some pointers on how I can reach my goal of getting down to at least 130 lbs or less. I know exercise is key, and I was not good for doing that, but are going to try to get back on track. If you have any suggestions for me, please let me know. I want 2015 to be my health oriented year!! Thank you!!

I lost 5lb pre Christmas mainly by having a blast for breakfast and sometimes lunch too. I'm bad at actually bothering to eat breakfast so it makes a super nutritious start to my day. The knock on effect is that you just start wanting to eat healthier. Seriously, I live my bullet. Looking forward to doing it all over again new year (daren't get on scales this week)!

Hello, I have been using the nutribullet for a little over two weeks. I am looking to lose weight and lower my cholesterol (not too high, but still). I have replaced breakfast for a nutriblast everyday, sometimes I add a small boiled egg (no yolk) or a wedge of white cheese. Mid morning I have a special k granola bar. Later Light lunch Before I leave work I have an activia yogurt (sometimes) When I get home I get a pre-workout nitriblast. Moderate workout for 35 to 45 Minutes Then Light Dinner (no carbs) Please let me know if I am doing it ok. Carolitabu

Hey there! Each of us are unique so I encourage you to experiment and find what works for you. In addition to the amount of food you eat, pay attention to how it makes you feel - what sparks energy and feeds you vs. what drains energy? Some foods produce inflammation in some folks while they are fine for others. Look at labels to see what ingredients make up your food and choose things that are not in packages, but more whole foods! Something tells me that granola bar contains some added sugars and artificial ingredients. Some people thrive on low carb, others like high fat, etc. For some tips, I'd suggest doing a search from the home page for weight loss. This can help you get started to find what approach works best for you!
