I purchased my NutriBullet in late October. I was getting ready for my biggest health challenge and was trying to "prep" my body for surgery. I had two large spots on my liver (doctors was not sure if it was cancer). I was having 30 percent of my liver removed (liver resection) and my gallbladder out on November 27. My doctor told me that I would need to lose weight and get as healthy as possible, fast. This was a major surgery, and my recovery would depend on how strong I was beforehand. I spent several days vomiting, nauseous, with no appetite, afraid to eat. It was a nightmare.

So I started to make spinach and berry smoothies about three times per week before going to work, and I started going to the gym. Slowly, I noticed changes that I'd never seen before. I began to wean off soda, my cravings disappeared, the dark circles under my eyes lightened, my hair became healthy, I felt energetic, I slept better, the aches in my knees disappeared, the swelling in my feet disappeared, and my skin was sooo bright!

Although my mind was filled with worry about possibly having cancer, I tried to think positively and fight off the depressing thoughts. I varied my smoothies using baby spinach, kale, cucumber, banana, strawberries, blueberries, mango, chia seed, cacao, and goji berries.

One night I was up late and was craving something sweet. I whipped up an unsweetened almond milk, goji, ice and cacao nibs smoothie in my NutriBullet and felt like I was cheating! It was sooo decadent, and it satisfied me! Usually, I would have had some potato chips or something and probably more than I should eat.

Well, I'm happy to report that I am CANCER-FREE and am committed to living this healthier lifestyle. I actually miss it when I don't make smoothies. After my surgery, I had to have extremely small meals, and my husband took care of me. I showed him how to use the NutriBullet, and he made some wonderful concoctions for me.

In the first few days when I came home from the hospital, I was on a liquid diet, and my smoothies were what kept me satisfied. Having this machine has definitely changed my life and the way I look at food now. I am so happy that I have this machine; it does what it says on the infomercial and is so easy to clean!

I actually have a Jack Lalane Power Juicer in my basement and shudder to think about using it. It's a pain in the neck to take apart and clean. I love my NutriBullet!

You can try our 3 day cleanse. It includes beets, spinach, celery, turmeric and citrus fruits which are all beneficial for cleansing the liver and gallbladder. In regards to your gallbladder, apple cider vinegar mixed with pure apple juice (not the kind w/ added sweeteners in the store) may help relieve pain - apple juice aids in softening gallstones. A few things I'd recommend to assist with gallbladder health are...peppermint oil (known to help cleanse the gallbladder), turmeric (to reduce any inflammation), ginger and fennel. However, a nutrient-dense plant-based, lower "bad" fats diet filled with whole, unprocessed foods is a great insurance policy for all bodily systems.
Just an update to my story...I have since lost 20 pounds! I am now back to the gym and going forward with my recovery. I try to mix my blasts with new ingredients everyday. I have been using combos of celery, cilantro, spinach, berries, goji, flax, chia, unsalted nuts and minimal fruit. My blood pressure has been 119 over 75 for the last couple months. I am ecstatic!
Does anyone have any specific juicing recipes for liver & gallbladder cleansing??

Mare, I have been doing5 days now with my bullet.I have 1 a day. Trying to use more greens. I have a Jack la lane also down stirs, but I'm bringing mine up and start juicing> Like Apples and carrots and use that as my water along with the pulp and lots of greens@ veggies added to my nutri.Im trying to loose30lbs and as of day 5 have only lost 1 lb. I also have to stop or slow down on having coke0 How are you still doing with yours.?

I use my jack la lane juicer everyday, rinse it or throw it in dishwasher. then I make smoothies with the pulp , add seeds , takes me to dinner. i get 2 or 3 smothhies and take them to work.
