My name is Annie and I am 71 years old. The first photo was taken at my 70th birthday party, I weighed 236 pounds. In the second photo I am 71 and 85 pounds lighter. I originally bought a NutriBullet to have a blender for milkshakes but when I read about the diet in the “User Guide and Recipe Book” I decided to give it a try. In May of 2016 I began making smoothies with the SuperFat Burning Boost. I had lost 20 pounds prior to starting the diet following the death of a close friend. I was not dieting at the time, just not eating.
I have been overweight most of my adult life. I lost 90 pounds once before, but was unable to keep it off. This time I feel more confident that I will succeed. My diet now consists of mostly fruits and vegetables with fish at one meal, or chicken if fish isn’t available. I also limit my beef intake to no more than once or twice a month.
Here’s the plan I followed to lose weight:
On a typical day, my breakfast includes 1 cup of spinach, assorted fruits like strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, or mango and the SuperFat Burning Boost. Every other day I have a spinach herb tortilla with a poached egg to accompany my breakfast smoothie and 1/4 cup of raw pumpkin seeds. This is the breakfast I have when I am at my hungriest.
I try to eat my dinner at lunch and my lunch at dinner. For these meals, I have lots of veggies like asparagus, brussel sprouts, carrots and red, yellow and orange peppers for my meal without the fish or chicken. I snack on clementines or green apples. I eat no dessert other than a piece of fruit and I drink San Pellegrino sparkling water. I gave up Diet Coke a full year ago. I never drank coffee but I do occasionally have a cup of hot tea without any sweetener other than the rare, small teaspoon of honey.
Since losing the weight, I have had to replace my wardrobe twice. I no longer own “fat clothes” and I have gone from a size 3X to a size 10. I would like to lose another 15 pounds. I have been on several plateaus recently but I have total faith in my NutriBullet diet and I have several friends who are in the process of following it too.
By the way, my health has also improved. I am a Type 2 Diabetic. My glucose averages 85-100, it used to be over 200. My A1C is now normal at 5.7, before it was 8.3 and my cholesterol has gone from 195 to 147.
I LOOK GOOD AND I FEEL GREAT.
