It has been three years since my cancer diagnosis and treatment. My gratitude toward the team at NutriBullet for helping me recover and get on the path to the healthiest I’ve ever been is beyond words. Prior to the cancer, my only experience with this horrible disease was in dealing with my mother’s battle, so I don’t know if it's because I'm getting older or if there is an epidemic, but lately, it seems as though everyone around me is involved with a cancer diagnosis in one way or another. In fact, over the past three weeks, four people that I know have been diagnosed with this disease! It is downright scary how much we are hearing about cancer lately.
No, I'm not trying to be a downer here; my intention is to bring more attention to cancer prevention. I wish I had known years ago what I know now about preventing illness! What we can do is be proactive and do what is within our control to avoid certain cancer risks. Even with some cancers that are hereditary, there are certain things that you can do to help minimize your risk. In my case, I was actually undergoing an elective surgery due to the BRCA gene when they found my cancer! I would not be here today if I had not made that choice.
So, what am I doing now to avoid disease? I strive each and every day to consume a variety of foods which research has shown helps combat illnesses. I use my NutriBullet regularly to extract the most beneficial nutrients from superfoods. This not only helps me to maintain a healthy weight, but provides much needed energy and helps me to feel great overall. Most importantly, I have peace of mind knowing that I am doing everything possible to stay well.
There are so many wonderful combinations of ingredients that you can use to help you achieve your health goals and avoid illness. You’ll never get bored - only healthier! I even use my NutriBullet to make desserts so I never feel deprived.
Cheers to you if you have made the decision to live a healthier lifestyle. Share your successes with those you love and help motivate them to attain their health goals. We all have to help each to live a long and healthy life!
