Congratulations to all who have made the decision to live a healthier lifestyle!
I remember how excited I was to begin my NutriBullet journey, but I was also a little overwhelmed because I had so many goals that I wanted to achieve. The greatest part of this process is that it has this wonderful snowball effect. Once you become familiar with all of the superfood ingredients that you can use in each drink and adjust to the consistency that you prefer, amazing things begin to happen!
I receive a lot of questions from people who have or are thinking about purchasing a NutriBullet. Most are curious and impressed about how I have managed to use it daily for almost two years now. The answer is always the same. It's because using it makes me feel a sense of control over my health and I actually feel better. Why would I stop using it?
If you’re not used to even eating vegetables, drinking them can definitely be intimidating. It isn’t always that easy to drink vegetables and if you’re not used to it, the color alone can be scary and offputting! It took my husband a few months to get past that obstacle. With that being said, there are some wonderful food combinations you can start with that are great for transitioning to fully green drinks.
I’ve had friends who started using kale before they were used to its taste and consistency. They were not impressed with their first recipes and I did not want them to get discouraged. I suggested they start by using a milder tasting veggie like spinach.
Here is a great starter NutriBlast recipe I've made for several of my friends and family when they're at the beginning of their NutriBullet transformation:
- 1 small handful or rinsed spinach
- ½ banana
- 1 chuck of apple
- 1 handful of raw almonds
- 1 cup of coconut water and fill with spring water to max line
- 1 teaspoon Gogi berries
This takes less than 5 minutes to make and it tastes great! After this recipe, my newbies were pleasantly surprised and motivated to experiment with their own creations.
