Count Chemicals, Not Calories! The Ultimate Guide to Weight Loss

You know that feeling when you keep eating, but never really get full? If so, most likely you’re noshing on empty calories. Stop feeding yourself junk and start nourishing your body!

As we struggle with our ever-expanding waistlines, we also struggle with big food corporations and their harmful ingredients. It’s about time we modernize the way we think about nutrition and wellness.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that we are currently experiencing a fitness and nutrition revolution. It’s evident that health is on the brain as we’ve recently surpassed one million Facebook fans and people everywhere ask us questions daily about weight loss, detoxing and overall health.

Well, we're here to help! First, stop counting calories (that’s so old school!), because if those calories consist of nutritionally-depleted “food,” then you aren’t doing yourself any favors. A calorie is not just a calorie, my friend! A happy gut does not subsist on processed, chemical-laden foods; it thrives on whole, plant-based ingredients - nature’s true medicine!

When we provide our body with vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients from their natural source, it functions at its peak. However, if we continue to feed it “food-like substances” instead of real, whole, natural food, it will eventually shut down from malnutrition and diet-related disease.

Forgo the low-cal soft drinks and fat-free mayo, this is not where we should focus our attention. Zoom in on the ingredient list (or better yet – choose foods without a label!), and only choose foods you know are health-promoting and not health-depleting.

I was planning to outline all of the ingredients you should be mindful of, however, for one, there’s not enough time in the day to list all of the junk they put in our packaged food these days and, two, Wally did an amazing job at outlining the major culprits here.

i am suffering from hypothyroidism and also prescribed medicine for fibromyalgia I don't have any energy, need to know what to do to help my condition.

I understand you. I've had fibromyalgia for many years and also have hypothyroidism. The best things you can do are these: 1) ask God to help you live for Him and the way He designed life to be lived; 2) Eat only or almost only real food; use your Nutribullet daily for two smoothies full of veggies and fruits; 3) drink lots of clean water -- at least 8 glasses a day; 4) Get rid of chemicals in your house and use natural cleaners; 5) find a good massage therapist -- if you can afford it, start with a weekly massage and in time reduce to monthly; 6) Detox with real fruit-veggie smoothies, as found on this site, and drink an apple cider vinegar detox drink and lots of water -- for 2-4 weeks twice a year; 7) Increase movement/exercise -- water aerobics is the best & a rebounder is great; 8) Look for a naturopathic doctor who has experience with fibro patients; 9) practice daily deep breathing, relaxation, and gratitude; 10 Laugh all you can, which you can do if you trust your life to God and take responsibility for your own health and life opportunities. I removed all GMO products, eating organic for over 20 years! I no longer have Chrohns, diagnosed 1979! Perhaps misdiagnosed, IBS, either way- I do not suffer and haven't had any issues with digestion since 1985! GMO foods and junk food are culprit of so many ills ppl suffer from. Just received my NutribulletRX so I can drink my way to even healthier living! I'm a very young 56 year old with my life expectancy of 120! Without any illness, nor even a headache suffered I'm well on my way! Wish you well in your food choices as this is what will make a difference in your life too!
