How Cheryl Lost Weight and Lowered Her Blood Pressure

How Cheryl Lost Weight and Lowered Her Blood Pressure

Hi, I'm CK from Macon, GA. and I am a NutriBullet fanatic now!

It was about two years ago that I started feeling bad, tired all the time withterrible headaches and no energy for anything other than work and school, which were things I had to do to survive! Enjoyable things like hanging out with my friends and my son were becoming few and far in between! Thank goodness my son was older at the time and could entertain himself and my friends all accepted my excuse of, "I'm studying." My mother was the one who got me to finally make a doctor's appointment; I was the typical see-about-everyone-else-but-myself type of girl! I did my yearly Pap smears and mammograms, but that's about it! If I got a cold, it was over-the-counter meds for this chick! Well, when I went to the doctor I found out I had high blood pressure. I should have known since both of my parents have it and both of my brothers were diagnosed with it years ago.

Gaining a few extra, extra pounds didn't help the situation at all! I didn't sit on it, though. I knew I had to change my lifestyle if I wanted to be around to see any of my beautiful grandkids. I watched the infomercials about the NutriBullet and I knew it was what my family and I needed. We haven't looked back since! We juice at least once a day; my mom is addicted! She yells, "Where's my smoothie?!" My blood pressure is well under control now with diet and exercise and I know the NutriBullet is a part of the process, as well. I have more energy than ever and I've lost 20 pounds since I started juicing.

I don't know where I'd be in a year or two had I not changed my lifestyle. Being healthy is a way of life for me now and I'm hoping to keep it that way! Feeling like a million bucks is motivation enough for me. I know that the NutriBullet processing gets vital nutrients straight to where they need to be and the cells soaks them up, placing them right where your body can utilize them! No meds, exercise, or regular dieting can do that! NutriBullet is going to be in my life for a long, loooooong time! I've also gotten numerous family members and friends to invest in it for better health! I tell them, it's not as good as hamburgers and fries, but it's as good for your body as that stuff tastes!

Thanks to the makers of NutriBullet! I know you changed my life for the better and I am eternally grateful!

Wow you're really focused. I recently heard about using a probiotic supplement consistently for 8 weeks to lower bp. It has to be at least 1billion live (i forgot the word). My bp has remained good only when I'm ill will it be high. Best of luck to you.

Congrats Cheryl. Wish I could lower my bp but even after 28 days of just juicing I still cannot get it lower. I exercise (yoga, rebound and walking). I even am trying grounding but so far not much luck. I juice and/or blend every day and do not eat table salt or sugar, meat or processed foods. I culture veggies and but still BP is high. I read so much about people who get their pressure down after a juice fast but unfortunately it has yet to work for me. Still I think everyone needs to embark on some type of plan to improve their health and therefore their lives. Nutribullet is an excellent way to start and maintain.

I am sometimes torn between whether I should juice or blend. Solution from Jason Vale: Juice then blend. Juice what you choose to juice (kale, beet, whatever) then pour juice into blender and add what you want to blend (banana, nuts, seeds, avocado, etc). This makes a nice "thickie" and you don't feel deprived.

Congrats CK! Sounds like everyone is off to a great start! I have a juicer, but sometimes I would have to use the juicer and blender. My husband wanted to get the NurtiBullet, he wanted the juicer too but I used it more than he did. What I found with the juicer is everything was thin liquid also, I had to use a blender sometimes because I couldn't use the juicer with all fruits/veggies. The NutriBullet is great! That's all I need, it does it all. I milled some oats to add to my breakfast smoothie which usually consists of pineapple, strawberries, a little spinach (it's breakfast...that's why a little and I don't like spinach) sometimes a banana. Bananas have Potassium but sometimes the natural sugar in them is too much for me. Lunch I have 1 1/2 plum tomatoes, celery, cucumber, lime, onion, garlic and sometimes I add spinach and kale for the vitamins and nutrients. This would be one serving for me. Dinner, sometimes I have juice or a salad. Friday nights are going to be whatever dinner night...I'm sorry, I'm a steak lover and I love a good steak on French bread! I recently gained weight. About 2 years ago, I started to exercise and I juiced for a kick start. I lost about 20 Lbs. I had gained 10 back from being lazy and not exercising. I quit smoking in April now, I'm 35 lbs more than what I want to weigh and my tummy is where it's blocking my view of my toes.... here I go again. I'm thinking positive, don't be too hard on yourselves, all of you will win because I'm going to. Wish this Grammy luck! :-)

There are a number of recipes u can try but one of them is: 2 cups spinach 1 large tomato 1/2 stalk celery 1/2 stalk carrot 1/2 bell pepper 1/4 small yellow or white onion juice from 1/2 lime 2 sprigs cilantro 1 to 2 cups water Its not my favorite tasting smoothie but it boosts your metabolism. And also grape fruit is very good for weight loss. One more tip: Every morning, drink 1 glass of cold water with honey or 1 glass of cold water with 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar. Hope this helps!!
Hi, Do anyone know exactly what to blend up for weight loss?

Hello CK. I'm also from Macon, GA. I have been using my Nutribullet for almost 18 months and I love it. Congratulations on your weight loss and lowered bp. When I started using my Nutribullet, I weight close to 220. Now I'm holding at 190. Using this thing along with 30 minutes of exercise and just being careful about eating right really works. Continue to keep up the good work.

Hello Cheryl, I'm feeling the same, I will make my first smoothie in less than an hour from now. I want to loose some weight too, I've bought my Nutribullet past saturday I'm feeling exited.
Hi Cheryl, your story was great. I just ordered the Fat Burning Smoothie book so I will have all the info and ingredients I need right in front of me. I too want and need to lose 20 lbs. Have lost 20 already but that other 20 just won't seem to come off! You've given me the encouragement I need to move forward with my new Nutribullet. I've only made the fruit smoothies so far adding spinach and chia seeds. Man are they good! I need to get into adding veges now. Any suggestions???
Hello Cheryl, I just started today. I had my first smoothie. Tasted great. Looking forward to great results with my weight and blood pressure. Bfletcher

hi Cheryl, I live here in macon ga and just purchased my nutribullet.
Hi Cheryl, I'm from Macon, GA too now in Michigan. Just wanted to let you I enjoyed your story as well, sounds a lot like me. I just got my Bullet for Mother's Day and I've been on it for 2 weeks now and I'm loving it.
Hey Cheryl, my name is Ms P. and I am a Retired VET that was use to a routine but once I retired I fell by the waist side when it came to excersing. No worries...I am back on track since I purchased my NutriBullet. I told my co-worker last week that I was going to stick with this Nutribullit for 1 week to see if I noticed any changes. Well, I have. I have more energy to excercise, my eyes are brighter, I sleep better but overall I feel better. My goal is to loose 45 pounds and I feel that those pounds will drop off by commiting myself to the Nutribullit, exercise and proper eating habits. Again, thanks for your story.
Hi Cheryl, I have to say that I love your story and I'm so glad that you shared it with us. Your story keeps me motivated to try my best to lose weight and be healthier. Thank you for sharing!
That's awesome , sounds just like me I have had my bullet about 2 weeks love it.
