How I Lost 135 in One Year

At the age of 22, I weighed 400 pounds and had constant chest pain. For years, I suffered from a binge eating disorder that made it difficult to manage my weight. I’ve tried a thousand different diets, but none of them worked for me. I would lose about 25 pounds, only to gain 35 back. It became frustrating, and that’s when I knew I had to make lifestyle changes that I can stick with in order to lose the weight and keep it off.

I started my health journey on May 22nd, 2016. Since then, I’ve learned how to eat the correct foods and began running. It was a rough start; I couldn’t run more than 0.2 miles without feeling out of breath and having to stop. But I kept on going. I paid more attention to what I ate and learned how to choose foods that are both healthy and satisfying. In just one year, I lost 135 pounds!

The NutriBullet played a major role in my weight loss success. It made it easy to get all the fruits and vegetables that I need in my healthy diet. I had a smoothie twice a day, which really helped curve my cravings and keep me full and energized. I also felt incredibly cleansed and nourished, thanks to all the nutritious ingredients that fueled my body.

There are countless recipes that I love, but my favorites are the ones that have lots of blueberries, strawberries, spinach, and bananas in them. One of my go-to recipes is my protein smoothie, made with two cups of strawberries, vanilla-flavored protein, mint leaves, and almond milk. Of course, the recipe book that came with my NutriBullet is also filled with great recipes. I usually go for the green or blueberry smoothies.

One year later, I’m in my best shape yet at 6’ 2” and 265 pounds! I no longer have chest pains or high blood pressure, and I am now in control of my binge eating. When I eat, I mostly have organic foods that are rich in nutrients. And as for running, I’m able to go for 1.4 miles without stopping.

Starting my health journey changed my life for the better. As I incorporated more exercise and healthy foods into my daily life, I noticed myself becoming lighter, healthier, and more energized. I’m glad that I finally found a healthy way to manage my weight and I’m excited to continue on my health journey, one NutriBullet smoothie at a time.

You did a wonderful job! I am going to try to do 2 Nutri Blast a day also, and eat one low carb meal. Just started yesterday 8/21/2017 @250 lbs. I want to lose at least 80-90 lbs.
