How to Make a Satisfying Breakfast Blast

Having a smoothie for breakfast can provide a convenient, nutritious start to the day or it can give you a sugar surge, leaving you tired and hungry after 15 minutes, craving a second breakfast. Luckily, that's why your NutriBullet's here!

Make a healthy smoothie in your NutriBullet - or a NutriBlast - to avoid those afternoon slumps. There are also rules you can follow to make breakfast smoothies effective in terms of healthy weight management, satiety, and energy and focus levels.

Here’s the trick: adding the right amount and right kind of fat, protein, carbohydrate and fiber will keep you satisfied and can keep your body performing at its peak. It also allows you to be more creative with your personal recipe combinations, keeping you from getting bored.

Take a look at this short list of examples for you to use the next time you make a morning smoothie. Add at least one item from each column into your NutriBullet cup and Blast. Think about what flavor combinations you enjoy and have fun experimenting!

Here are some of my favorite morning recipes! Just add the ingredients to your NutriBullet cup and extract for about 20 seconds.

Classic Green Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup spinach
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup soy milk or nut milk

Pumpkin Banana Smoothie

  • 1 scoop whey protein powder
  • 1 cup soy milk or nut milk
  • ¼ cup organic canned pumpkin
  • 1 banana
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

Chocolate Raspberry Shake

  • 10 almonds
  • 1 Tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 cup skim milk or nut milk
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • ½ cup frozen peaches
  • ½ Tbsp flax seed oil
  • 1 banana
