March is Kidney Cancer Awareness month. Those of us who own and use the NutriBullet on a regular basis have made the commitment to live a healthier lifestyle and that's commendable, so good for us! Unless you live under a rock, you probably hear about cancer every day, whether it's someone getting diagnosed, losing their battle with cancer, or doing your part to prevent it.
I’ve been through cancer and treatment and now that I understand how diet, exercise and stress reduction play a huge role in this diagnosis, I'm being proactive and doing whatever is necessary to change my lifestyle. I also want to do my part in spreading the information so that people are more educated about this disease.
The information on how to avoid certain cancers is out there and readily available to us and we've been provided with the tools to take control over our health. The NutriBullet is a perfect example of a tool that simplifies the transition to healthier eating.
Besides genetics, there seems to be two common factors when it comes to cancer: smoking and obesity, both of which are directly related to kidney cancer. Of course, there are other elements to kidney cancer, but we have control over some of these, so why not take action now to prevent this illness?
What can be done to reduce the risk of kidney cancer? Here are some suggestions:
- Increase your physical activity
- Reduce your exposure to chemicals
- Eat a healthy diet – Take full advantage of the benefits of the NutriBullet!
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Do not smoke
- Stay hydrated
Let’s all do what is within our control to avoid this awful disease.
