One week ago, I was sitting in my living room, minding my own business. Then I heard a terrifying knock on the door. A knock that loud and that fast could only mean one thing: UPS had delivered a package.
My one second of being startled changed quickly into excitement. That package could only be one thing: my Nutribullet.
I unpacked the box like a child on Christmas morning. The recipe book. The blades. The cups. The accessories. Everything looked awesome, and I knew what I had to do. I had to NutriBlast.
Now, I don’t want you to think I’m a dork because I was excited to NutriBlast, but I really was. I saw the NutriBullet online, and I really responded to the idea of turning any food into a superfood. The power of the blade in such a compact size was like a dream come true.
I love my morning shakes and I swear by them. I would not start my day any other way. And the NutriBullet had the potential to make my shakes even more awesome. So, yes, I was really excited to NutriBlast.
I grabbed some blueberries, half an avocado, some frozen spinach, flax seed, almond milk, vanilla protein powder, water, and some stevia. This shake was about to get serious. I loaded everything into the tall cup and screwed on the blade.
I plugged in the base and popped on the cup. I pressed down and heard the blade come to life. My ingredients didn’t know what hit them. After just a few seconds, the consistency of the Blast was already creamy and everything was finely blended.
A big issue I’ve had with my big, clunky blender is that even though the blade had the power I wanted, it would still leave me some clumps, and the consistency would never be fine. Since I like greens in my shakes, the consistency is very important. I don’t want to glub down a mouthful of half-blended spinach. Nobody wants that.
But with the Nutrbullet, just seeing the consistency of the Blast got me excited. I blended it for a little bit longer, because I wanted to make sure it was as awesome as it looked. I unscrewed the blade from the top of the cup and I was not disappointed.
The first thing I did was wipe my finger across the blade and base of the Nutribullet, just to get a taste. It was smooth like cake batter. Smoother, even. It was time to dive into the actual Blast.
You know that feeling you get when you’re experiencing something new for the first time? Or like when you’re wine tasting and you start to really appreciate the subtleties of the flavors? Or that feeling when you just saw a really good movie and you end up talking about it like you’re the most insightful film critic in the world? Well, that was me. But this time, it was about a smoothie.
Everything was so fully integrated and my tongue was so excited to experience the infusion of flavors. I decided to call this shake my Inaugural Nutriblast because I knew, from here on out, Nutriblasting would become my new tradition.
