I try to tailor my NutriBlasts to meet my ever-changing needs and goals. I enjoy making drinks that help me detox and that satisfy my sweet tooth, but more than anything, I need energy!
I, like most people, run out of steam at some point in the day and, unfortunately, it isn’t possible to take a nap. I use my NutriBullet to help get me energized to make it through the rest of my day and handle my responsibilities.
The good news is that this is pretty simple because these fruits and vegetables are readily available in either frozen or fresh form.
A good way to fight fatigue is to keep hydrated and try to avoid refined sugar. I realize that is easier said than done because when our schedules are crazy, it’s hard to think about drinking plenty of fluids and way too easy to grab a candy bar out of that evil vending machine. Sure, it’s nice to have that burst of energy after eating the candy bar, but soon after, it feels like your elevator just plummeted to the bottom floor!
Some of my favorite fruits like cantaloupe and watermelon are great for hydration and taste amazing in your NutriBlasts! For a balanced release of energy, you can combine these fruits with spinach, carrots, at least 70 percent dark chocolate and pumpkin. It is easy to take a few minutes and find a combination of fruits, vegetables and boosts that can create the energy you need to get through the day.
Don't have time to come up with your own recipe? Try my version! Add 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree for an extra fun kick and energizing boost.
