The number of children diagnosed with prediabetes is dramatically on the rise. Why? It appears the number is correlated with the dramatically increasing rates of childhood obesity.

During the past 30 years, the number of children diagnosed as being overweight has increasd by 100%, a statistic that can follow them through to adulthood. So, how do we stop the prevalence of prediabetes and obesity in our youth?

The cause seems to be a diet rich in unhealthy fats, added sugars and a lack of fruits and vegetables. What could a healthier diet mean for our future generations?
