I bought my NutriBullet on August 10, 2012.
I weighed 193 pounds with high cholestrol and a fatty liver. I was also suffering from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). I was up late one night, not asleep because of stomach pain, when I saw the NutriBullet infomercial. I usually ignore things that have to do with weight loss or health because they are usually trying to push some type of powder, pill or fad diet. But this was different. It made a lot more sense than anything else; we already know that eating vegetables and fruits is healthy for us, but we really don’t want to take the time to purchase or prepare them when we can much more easily drive up to a fast food chain and grab a double cheeseburger and fries.
After watching the infomercials, I figured I would do more research before making my purchase and I found a lot of great blenders, but they cost between $300-$500. I could have waited, but I probably would have lost intrest in getting healthy. The next day, I searched for stores that had them in stock and I spent around $100. Once I got home, I threw in some spinach, bananas, strawberries, and almond milk and made a great Blast. I kept doing this for several days every morning and I felt great. So great, in fact, that I decided to research other foods that I could Blast for health.
As days went by, I started to lose weight from just the Blasts and with the knowledge I learned, I started making substitutions in what I ate, such as a simple swap of quinoa for rice and even quinoa pastas for regular pastas. I noticed that I was able to stop using my Nexium for reflux and that I no longer had headaches or stomachaches. After a month, I had lost 20 pounds, felt great, and noticed my clothes fit better. I kept wanting to improve myself!
During this change in my life, family members and coworkers started seeing the changes in my skin, body and attitude and it was infectious. People all around me are starting to make small changes and are even buying a NutriBullet for themselves. After my seventh week, I decided it was time to go back to my doctor and have a check-up and blood work done. He was amazed at my weight loss and asked me about my dietary habits and even asked my advice and opinions on things. They took my blood and found that I had lowered my cholesterol to 161 and my enzyme counts had lowered as well, reflecting the shape of my fatty liver. I intend to return 2 months from now and have completely healthy liver function. Through this whole process, I have focused on being healthy, for myself and my family. I want to be a great role model to my son who is just 5 months old. I want him to know that food and health matter. If it wasn’t for the NutriBullet, I would have not made all the efforts I have, so thank you so much for this product! It has touched my life in more ways than I can explain!
