Maple Syrup

Health Benefits
Maple syrup contains fewer calories and a higher concentration of minerals than honey, satisfying your sweet craving. It also contains zinc and mangenese, which are excellent for your immune system. The zinc found in maple syrup is also great for men's reproductive health.
Selection Process
Be sure to choose real maple syrup and not maple-flavored syrups. Grade A maple syrup comes in three grades: light amber, medium amber, and dark amber. Grade B is the more common grade used in cooking and in processed foods.
