Marionberries

These dark purple little delights are a type of blackberry, a mix of Chehalem and Olallieberries. They are filled with antioxidants that protect against certain types of cancers, heart and circulatory diseases. They are also high in vitamin C, which help strengthen the immune system and ward off infection. They are also high in gallic acid and ellagic acid, which contains antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Selection Process

Marionberries are in season during the summer, usually in July. Buy organic and avoid berries that are sticky or moldy; darker berries tend to be sweeter.
