Selection Process

The leaves are typically harvested before the plant begins to flower. Choose the leaves of the plant that are fresh with a bright green color and a minty scent. Make sure to wash leaves before using in teas and meals. You can stored washed, dried off leaves in the fridge for up to 1 week. Dried spearmint is also a great option and should be stored in airtight containers, away from sunlight in a cool place.
