There are three types of whey protein powders to choose from depending on your needs: whey protein concentrate is somewhat lower in protein and contains most of the original nutritional packaging of milk (fat, cholesterol, lactose, and bioactive compounds); whey protein isolate is 90%+ protein by weight (higher than concentrate), but lower in bioactive compounds; whey protein hydrolysates are somewhat "predigested," which make them easier to metabolize and are less allergenic than the others forms of whey.
