Short Vs. Big Cup in Recipes

I made my first green drink from the book yesterday. It said to use the short cup to blend. Well, that was impossible because as I continued to add the ingredients there was no way they would fit. I ended up using the larger cup and that worked fine. It seems like all of the recipes call for blending in the short cup. What am I missing here? They are mostly all two servings so the bigger cup is the one to use, I would think. Can someone set me straight? Thanks much, Dara

I would blend in the larger cup. Since fruit and veggie size vary, the recipes may not always fit into your cup. As long as you are getting a blend of all ingredients, don't worry about following the recipe exactly as it is outline. You will still get all the healing benefits of having fresh fruits and veggies in your diet. Have fun with your Blasts and feel free to deviate from the recipe slightly. We encourage you to try new ingredients and find the best blend that works for you.
What kind of oats can be used? Can I use individual packets of instant oatmeal?
I have found that following the quantity in the recipes does not work. I use the item mentioned but a fraction of the quantity to stay below that black line.
