Some recipes call for raw almonds. Other recipes call for raw almonds that have been soaked overnight.  Why the difference?

It depends on what the Blast is for...soaked almonds are easier to digest so that recipes may have something to do with digestion or cleansing. Soaking almonds removes some of the enzyme inhibitors so that your body can have an easier time breaking it down.
So as a general rule, should we always soak the almonds?
Are slivered almonds just as good/nutritious as whole almonds? I am new to nutriblasts and have been using slivered almonds because 1 I already have them and 2 it is easier to measure.

Believe it or not, there is a lot of nutrition in the skins of almonds, so the raw, organic, whole almonds are the best.
