Bought my nutribullet today...
My mother has one, and while I was visiting NY over the winter holidays, she showed it to me. She has stage 4 cancer and has been pumping super foods since starting chemo. I told her I can get the same results with my vitamix (I have the dry blade too)... so I didn't think twice about it. However, when I returned to CA, I realized how little I use my vitamix. SO, when Costco had the bullet on sale for $75, I had to try it. I also have a centrafugal juicer, which is great, but all pulp is eliminated.
So, I opened it up, cleaned it, and gave it a whirl. I haven't really gone shopping in a week or so, because we were out of town and the kids were with their father. So what I had wasn't much to work with but I blended romaine, carrots, cucumber, chia seeds, psyllium husks, a quarter lemon with rind, and unfiltered raw apple juice (half cup). I didn't realize I needed to fill it to the max line with water... so it was very thick and I added water to thin it. It was tough for me to drink because of the thick texture. I guess I will get used to that!
Round 2, I blended my protein shake after the gym... and it handled the handfull of icecubes I threw in quite well.
Anyway... I love how small it is and how easy it is to clean. I hope it lasts a long time because I have 3 children (14, 18 and 20) who will be using it too. :-)
I live in Chula Vista and go to the gym about 2 times a week. I eat fairly healthy and have lost 10 lbs since January 18. My goal weight is 125... 30 lbs to go!
