Sarah... on a similar note I was thinking the same, and have another question. My wife and I have just started the basic 7 day cleanse. I had a question on one of the recipes. the quinoa and sweet potato recipe. I says to use one cup of uncooked quinoa. is that correct? one cup uncooked yields four cups once cooked. My question/concern is that is a lot of calories for a 2 serving recipe. 625 or 312 each, not including the sweet potato. Is that possibly a typo and should be one cup cooked?? aside from that I though it was a typo because neither one of us could finish the meal as the pure volume of food was to much. thanks again.
You are correct, that is a typo. I did the same thing when I made it...no way you could eat that much :)
The proper portion is 3/4 cup to 1 cup of cooked quinoa - making it about 4 servings per recipe. However, eat til you are 80% full - the start to Intuitive Eating! I hope you enjoyed the dish. I thought it was delicious.
