As a Type 2 Diabetic, I am aware of the healing powers of cinnmon, and I see so many recipes recommending cinnamon for use by diabetics.  The problem is that most commercially sold cinnamon powder is simply saw dust sprinkled with a little cinnamon oil.  So tell me, where do most of you who provide these cinnamon-based recommendations get your cinnamon?  Or probably better stated, where can one get high grade pure cinnamon powder at reasonable cost?  Thanks.

I don't know about where to buy high grade cinnamon... but last week I bought a kilo online from a wholesaler and when it arrived I noticed it is a product of Sri Lanka. Until this arrived I had been using what I had in the cupboard - the supermarket version in the little bottles, for the sake of having the cinnamon in my Nutriblasts, in my attack on Diabetes.... After a stroke last August I became insulin dependent and after only a fortnight on the Nutribullet's recommended diabetes blasts, I am no longer on insulin, and for the most part medication free, with my BSL's down to normal range... So, don't hold back waiting for the perfect cinnamon - just get stuck in with the best you can find at the time.
Hello! Well, last year I wasHello! Well, last year I was also asking about Cinnamon and was told by the good folks here that what you really want is Ceylon Cinnamon, not the Cinnamon you usually find at the supermarket. I was instructed by Krista (I think) to go to Amazon and look for "Indus Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Powder". It's about $28.00, but it's a huge container that will last a very long time if you're the only one using it. And it's awesome! I put about 1/2 tsp or more in every Blast I make. Good luck! -Steve
