Hi Krista,
I am starting Day 4 today of the cleanse. I started it on Saturday instead of Monday. It's been going great and I feel wonderful! I slept like a baby last night, and I have tons more energy. I did experience a headache last night, but I know that is just the toxins coming out of my body.
Anyway, I just wanted to know, what are the expected results at the end? I don't see any articles explaining what the benefits are, it just says to cleanse your body after the holidays. I know the obvious is cleaning the body of toxins, but I was just hoping for some sort of break down on what I am doing for my body with this cleanse. Weight loss, less bloating, more energy, etc? And also, do you have any suggestions with how to begin eating regular meals after the cleanse is done? I don't want to make myself sick.
You're ahead of the game! I'm planning to make a post about how to continue eating healthy post-cleanse on day 4... shoot me a private message if you'd like and I can send that to you before then.
Each person will benefit from a cleanse in different ways. Some will notice weight loss, more energy, a rejuvenated appearance (skin, eyes, nails), less cravings for sweets, a mental readiness to start eating healthier, a release of certain addictions like caffeine, less bloating or more regular bowel movements. Some may also notice a better mood or just some new recipes :) Essentially, you are allowing your body to recalibrate and reduce any inflammation. Our bodies are designed to detox daily, and they do a great job of it...sometimes though (like after an indulgent holiday), they need a little help and a break from all the harsh processed or heavy foods. By ridding your diet of the main allergens and choosing mostly antioxidant and nutrient-rich plant-based foods and reducing acid-ash foods (meats, dairy, etc), you are setting your body up for success! Hope that helps :)
