Thanks GG!! Since I got this message late in the day, I'll officially weigh in tomorrow and keep track, but today I had my usual 2 cups of coffee and diet Mt. Dew for breakfast. I'm just not hungry at all first thing in the morning; then about 11am after I get morning chores pretty much tucked away I am HUNGRY and usually have a NB blast. Today it was kale/strawberries/prunes/figs/peaches/chia seeds with almond milk. YUM. Back to work and I'm good until about 6pm. Tomorrow I will plan a second Blast, but today (not knowing you were on board with me...) I had a handful of potato chips and a beer (!). Normally the latter two items would NOT be on my diet list....but it's been a long day moving cattle, getting started harvesting beans and I'm not sure what time son and husband will be done, which means I may be dealing with food again for them.
I'm in the Midwest, late 50s, and have a herd beef cattle and farm with my husband. I do the daily chores which entails a lot of climbing up and down equipment so I feel I get at least a little aerobic and a lot of anaerobic activity included.
I LOVE my NutriBullet; have had the baby for almost two years and can say that it has changed my life so much for the better. I am thrilled with the thought of actually ingesting 10 servings of fruits/vegetables per day. I believe that nutrition is so important for health...antioxidents, fiber, vitamins ...all are exceedingly important. Although I'm a beef farmer, I eat meat just a few times a month (everyone else in my household eats meat daily - but it IS our homegrown beef and no antibiotics or growth hormones included). I liken this to someone who might run a confectionary - they certainly wouldn't eat sugar goodies for three meals a day! Anyway, my favorite blasts are chard or kale followed by banana, berries, prunes, figs and almond milk.
I don't eat pork or poultry and I've cut bread and gluten out of my diet in a drastic manner, just because I don't want the middle tire that seems to come with being 59 8-).
It sounds like you are extremely motivated on your health and weight loss journey already...maybe we can drop 3-4 pounds this week!!! I have a couple small social events coming up next weekend and that will give me additional incentive. Feel free to give me your WW meals too...I tried that for a brief period and did not think I could sustain it, but I know it is very successful for some.
I'm interested in the green tea you use....I haven't given that a try yet!
until tomorrow......
