Do a one week weight loss with me......!

I need some incentive to lose a bit of weight. If I go "one week at a time", it seems to be more successful than "I need to lose 10 or 20 or 30 ...". Anyone want to go for it?

We could have a disclosure each day of what we ate, what we lost on the scale (I'm a scale person...it keeps me honest) and encourage each other.

Start today and go until next Saturday or Sunday....OK?

I would love to join your challenge! I need to lose about 80 pounds. I'd love to join your challenge. I'll keep in contact and will list what I have for each of my meals and how I feel and check in with how you're doing. A little about me and my weight loss plan: I'm 64-years-old, married for 45 years; have 2 grown kids and 3 teenaged grandkids. I'm about 80 pounds overweight and have been on Weight Watchers since August 2014. So far, I've lost 15 pounds. I just purchased my Nutrabullet yesterday and plan to use my Nutrabullet for my breakfasts which is the hardest meal for me. This morning, I made myself a smoothie with a banana, carrot, spinach, sesame seeds, tsp of cardamon, watermelon chunks, freshly-brewed green tea cooled with ice cubes, a couple slices of lemon peel (zest, not pulp) and 3 oz of Zoi non-fat plain Greek yogurt. Tasted pretty good, though it was a bit "chunky" as the carrots probably needed to blend a little longer. What did YOU have today...do you have an favorite Nutrabullet recipes? Tell me a bit about yourself so I "know" who I'm talking to! The rest of my day will be regular meals based on my Weight Watchers points allowance. If you want, I can share what I ate for those meals. I weigh in on Friday mornings, so will definitely be able to report on my weight loss!
Thanks GG!! Since I got this message late in the day, I'll officially weigh in tomorrow and keep track, but today I had my usual 2 cups of coffee and diet Mt. Dew for breakfast. I'm just not hungry at all first thing in the morning; then about 11am after I get morning chores pretty much tucked away I am HUNGRY and usually have a NB blast. Today it was kale/strawberries/prunes/figs/peaches/chia seeds with almond milk. YUM. Back to work and I'm good until about 6pm. Tomorrow I will plan a second Blast, but today (not knowing you were on board with me...) I had a handful of potato chips and a beer (!). Normally the latter two items would NOT be on my diet list....but it's been a long day moving cattle, getting started harvesting beans and I'm not sure what time son and husband will be done, which means I may be dealing with food again for them. I'm in the Midwest, late 50s, and have a herd beef cattle and farm with my husband. I do the daily chores which entails a lot of climbing up and down equipment so I feel I get at least a little aerobic and a lot of anaerobic activity included. I LOVE my NutriBullet; have had the baby for almost two years and can say that it has changed my life so much for the better. I am thrilled with the thought of actually ingesting 10 servings of fruits/vegetables per day. I believe that nutrition is so important for health...antioxidents, fiber, vitamins ...all are exceedingly important. Although I'm a beef farmer, I eat meat just a few times a month (everyone else in my household eats meat daily - but it IS our homegrown beef and no antibiotics or growth hormones included). I liken this to someone who might run a confectionary - they certainly wouldn't eat sugar goodies for three meals a day! Anyway, my favorite blasts are chard or kale followed by banana, berries, prunes, figs and almond milk. I don't eat pork or poultry and I've cut bread and gluten out of my diet in a drastic manner, just because I don't want the middle tire that seems to come with being 59 8-). It sounds like you are extremely motivated on your health and weight loss journey already...maybe we can drop 3-4 pounds this week!!! I have a couple small social events coming up next weekend and that will give me additional incentive. Feel free to give me your WW meals too...I tried that for a brief period and did not think I could sustain it, but I know it is very successful for some. I'm interested in the green tea you use....I haven't given that a try yet! until tomorrow......
Sunday morning: Well, ISunday morning: Well, I weighed in this morning and am up almost 3 pounds. blah blah blah. rather disheartening but one must soldier on. I hadn't weighed myself for a week....I'm the type that must weigh every day. Oh well, I get a bit discouraged fighting this middle age metabolism; usually hitting the Nutriblasts with more veggies is the answer for me. I PLEDGE to do so today...probably the beer I enjoyed yesterday turned to instant carbohydrate weight... ha.! It's chilly and threatening rain here later today - my kind of day! I'm off to the barn.....coffee in hand.
Yay...drinking lots of water this weekend must have helped...I'm down 4# this morning! Good incentive to stay on track with my NB...looking forward to a fruit blast soon, then a warmed-up blast of spaghetti squash, garlic, leeks and turmeric. It's cold and rainy here so that will taste good!
only lost .5# today....but that's OK, last night I had a bit of hamburger... I'll be making a spaghetti squash, broccoli, garlic, hot pepper blast soon....it's so wintry here today I will warm it up a bit and enjoy! thanks for stopping by!
down another .5# today! yay.... having a banana, date, fig, swiss chard blast at the moment....so good!
Congratulations! I weigh in on Fridays, so don't know if I've lost this week or not. I have a Blast for breakfast. I always throw in some chia and flax seeds. For lunch, I have a sandwich because I personally need carbs. I toast Dave's Killer bread (the thin slices) and spread a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese on it instead of butter. Sometimes I use 1/4 of an avocado instead. I like that creamy sensation they give. I usually use sliced ham or turkey for protein and add tomato and some fresh spinach. With that, I usually have raw veggies & a cup of hot green tea. For dinner tonight, I made home-made beef/vegetable soup. I put tomatoes, zucchini, onion, carrots, and green beans (no starchy veggies) and some lean beef cut into small pieces. I used home-made broth for the liquid. I have discovered that my metabolism has picked up because, now that I'm having the Blasts for breakfast, I get really hungry. I NEVER felt normal hunger which is one reason I'm overweight. I would go until maybe 3 or 4 in the afternoon without eating anything cause I wasn't hungry, but then I'd suddenly feel as if I was starving and then grab whatever was handy and practically swallow it whole. My body never knew what to think...was I starving myself or was I gorging myself! Weight Watchers is really helping me spread my meals out throughout the day and eat when I "should" instead of when I'm not apt to make good choices.
Yes! I understand totally about what true hunger is....amazing feeling isn't it? Your sandwich sounds wonderful.....last night I splurged and had thin slices of baguette warmed up, then dipped in olive oil with basil seasonings, with freshly grated Parmesan on the side. I'm chickening out about weighing this morning, so tomorrow morning it shall be 8-). I also made this: http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-easy-3-ingredient-energy-bars-at-home-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-184306 I have made it previously with dates, cashews and figs; this time with dates, cashews and dried strawberries. The flavor is good, but the texture did not get firm as it did using figs. ...still OK though. later....
Well, down a total of 5#. I'm quite happy with that and now have incentive to lose a few more before the wonderful Holiday season. Thanks for all the support - I couldn't have done it without ya.

I just got my nutribullet yesterday and made my first blast last night for supper. Wasn't bad. Then I made one for breakfast this morning. Drinkable. Tasted better than it smelled. Haha I am checking out some recipes now so hope I find a recipe that I like. Please keep up the good work & will enjoy having a partner on this trip.
