Can I freeze shredded collards without blanching them? I can't seem to find them in anything but a very large bag. They do keep quite a while, but I thought it would be so convenient to freeze them. All Google searches recomment blanching them or chard or kale before freezing. I thought that someone mentioned freezing kale just by tossing it in a baggie, then the freezer....

Yes you can! We tried it here in the office w/o blanching them and it turned out just fine.
I have never used frozen veggies in my blasts. I may have to try it in the future after seeing what Krista said!
If you going to freeze them don't do anything put in an air tight bag, due to the fact when you freeze any type of greens they will get moisture in them. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the tip Treva!

Don't know if this will post cause I don't seems to know how and I am signed up anyway I called food saver (I own one) and they said freeze to freeze spinach in a baggy then take out of freezer and put into a foodsaver bag and then freeze shrink it so you should be able to do the same with kale
I did spinach with the food saver machine and it worked great, I now see that I am on line didn't know how to post before.
