I have a new Nutribullet, and I bought and extra blade. The blades are the new style, and all three gaskets are removable, for cleaning. The ones that are removable have a notch around the gasket, so that I can pop it out for cleaning with a spoon or fingernail. The older style gaskets were not removable, and had no notch. When you put the gasket back in after washing it off, you have to make sure it is put in correctly, just the way it came out. I had a lengthy discussion with customer support regarding the new gasket style, and cleaning it, when it gets food under it. The one thing she cautioned me about was making sure the gasket was not reinstalled upside down.
oh ok thank you but how do i know which way is right...lol i'll have to look and try both ways if it comes off again..thank you for responding
Well, after reading your question, I took the gasket out to take a really close look at it, to see if there was a difference between the top and bottom of it ( I am a retired engineer by the way). I noticed that there is no difference in the top and bottom of the gasket at all, it is symmetrical, so it can't be installed "upside-down". I think probably what the customer support person meant, was that one should make sure that the gasket is securely placed in the channel that it lies is, when reinstalling it, so that it can't come loose. You have to stretch it just a tad, when reinstalling it, so that it slips in the channel all the way around.
when can i expect delivery of my extractor blades ordered today 9-24-13
