My name is Louis and I love my Nutribullet. I have a crazy schedule, work 6a - 4p Mon - Thur. I am making my Blasts at night and freezing them to consume them during the day. Is freezing them a good thing to do?

Some co-workers come to me to taste my drink of the day, others see the color green and just walk away. I am also trying to find a coffee substitute since I do need a caffeine jolt in the AM and in the PM.

Have a great day all.

A little coffee in & of itself is not a bad thing. If you do a search for "coffee" on this site, it'll pull up an article on the antioxidant properties of coffee & tea. It's when people put a ton of milk/creamer/sugar in it that it becomes less beneficial. re: freezing. It seems that people are saying it's ok to freeze fruits/veggies. I can't imagine it'd be much different freezing the whole smoothie. Another suggestion was to place the chopped veggies & fruits in the cup & then add your liquid & blast it right before drinking. That'll save a little time too & not force you into freezing them. Good luck!

Hello Louis! Welcome :) We answer your freezing and making Blasts in advance Q right here: http://nutribulletblog.com/faq/ Regarding coffee...there are some benefits to coffee, mainly due to the antioxidants, but I say nothing that regular old healthy eating with plenty of fresh, whole foods can't do ;) Here's a coffee replacement from David Wolfe! http://www.nutriliving.com/recipes/coffee-replacement-nutriblast In addition, you could also get one of these - http://www.drinkchoffy.com/ (this can can make and use as the liquid of your NutriBlast! http://www.longevitywarehouse.com/Articles.asp?ID=400 (has a slight coffee flavor - I love this stuff!) Cheers! -Krista, NutriBullet RD
I am not a big coffee fan, but occasionally chug a glass or two here or there because of the short list of benefits. Plus - keeps my system guessing.
