Kale stalks

When using kale, do you use just the leaves or do you include the stalks?

I just use the leaves. The supermarkets where I buy it, sells it in large bags, already washed and cut up, which makes it handy to use , and I usually freeze half of it that way, so it won't spoil.
You can add it all :)
I was using mostly just the leaves (am a Newbie). Thanks for the suggestion of freezing...will try that next time as I had to throw most of that out....boy did it smell up the kitchen!!
While on the subject of Kale...I undersatnd its health benefits...but on a side note, I get the worst gas everytime I use it! I'm not talking the bloating kind, I'm talking you need to be a good 10 feet away from me for most of the day! It's terrible! I'm considering dropping using it all together, unless someone can give me some advice...

Try using swiss chard, spinach or mixed lettuce greens. Every one has a different reaction to certain foods, if this is the only food you notice giving you bad gas then eliminate it from your regimen. If the gas is an ongoing problem their may be other underlying issues.
