Two things that work for me are 1) the more green super foods the better...in addition to raw leafy greens, chlorophyll-rich chlorella, wheatgrass, spirulina, or a supergreens powder help get the oxygen through my blood to my cells quickly! and 2) raw cacao...which helps some people replace coffee as their new energy boost in the morning! Cacao helps balance blood sugar, contains theobromine (a much more mild stimulant than caffeine), and produces mood-enhancing serotonin (when we are happy, we are more energetic!).
I like this recipe...
5 fresh mint leaves (or mint extract)
1 Tbsp raw cacao powder (or nibs)
dash of cinnamon
Coconut milk beverage (or unsweetened almond milk)
I have to second what Krista says about the leafy green veggies. I have a blast I make that only does green veggies. Within 30 seconds of finishing I already start feeling the energy boost! Love my NutriBullet!
