Mixing flavors

I have to admit that I’m a bit of a light-weight with my NutriBullett, what I mean is I have to include fruits into the mix, I’m not a straight veggies Nutriblast guy yet.  With that said, I’ve began to figure out some tasty mixes, mixes whereby the fruit complements the veggies, or vice versa.

To my taste anyway, I’ve found that certain fruits such as watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, and even mango, (I love them all individually) don’t carry a nice flavor when mixed with say … broccoli, kale, or collard greens, however, when mixed with greens like lettuce, romaine lettuce, or spinach, (and your choice of seeds and/or nuts) you end up with a very light, almost tropically tasting drink.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy daily a Nutriblast containing stronger tasting greens like broccoli, and/or kale, and/or collard greens, but I’ll mix these with the fruits that seem to me at least, mix better, fruits like banana’s, pineapple, and avocado mix real nice with the stronger greens.

Just thought I’d pass that on to anyone who was having a hard time with flavors.

Enjoy.

What great advice Steve! Thank you for this :)
My pleasure Krista:)
To follow up, I just made an amazing tasting blast following my own a advice … As if I were making a salad, I mixed collard greens, kale, spinach, and celery (I know celery isn’t everyone favorite but hear me out), I mixed enough of all these veggies so it’ll make one or two more blasts for today or tomorrow. I put roughly a cup and a half of this mix into the large cup, then put in half an apple, a chunk of pineapple and mango, a few strawberries, and grapes, topped it off with some almonds, and then added the water but also a little coconut water. What a refreshing drink on a gloomy day!
Thanks for the tip Steve! Love it!
does anyone get bloated stomach/gas when combining a lot of vegetables with fruit in a blast? I don't if I'm using kale or spinach only but when adding beet, cuke, celery, etc. I do experience this uncomfortable feeling...A.D.
I haven’t, and unfortunately have little expertize on the bloating, but perhaps one of the site moderators will have a great answer for you.

Bloating can happen due to a variety of reasons. Check out this article to see if any tips are helpful. http://www.nutriliving.com/blog/feeling-bloated
