No one expects to get cancer in their lifetime, but based upon our environment and hereditary factors, it is an unfortunate reality that most of us will face at some point whether it is as a patient, a family member or a caregiver.

My goal with the cancer forum is to provide those involved with a cancer diagnosis with firsthand knowledge from an actual cancer survivor who has the experience of what it takes to prepare for the treatment and recovery by making food choices that provide comfort, energy and nutrition. I am not a medical expert, just someone who after going through a personal cancer experience and has also been a cancer caregiver decided to share helpful tips and recipes with others in an effort to make the cancer journey a more tolerable one.

Understanding what you put in your body before, during and after your treatment has everything to do with how you tolerate your treatment and your recovery. This is where a cancer patient and family members/caregiver can gather information and take full advantage of the benefits of what the NutriBullet and the NutriBullet site have to offer. The website has numerous recipes and specific information regarding how certain foods, spices and supplements can help us deal with or avoid an illness.

Thank you for your contribution to this forum. Can't wait to read your future posts!
Thanks Scott. I hope that you are still enjoying the benefits of your NB. If I remember correctly you've been using it now for quite a few months.
Thanks for your post. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago and now dealing with radiation side effects and hormone blocker side effects. Any information I can glean I am most grateful for!
Yes - Since April 2012! I totally love it!
Hi Rosemary. Oh the side effects...people don't realize that many just begin after the treatment and some are actually permanent. What are the side effects that you are experiencing? There are so many. I'm still learning how to live with the side effects from my treatment without taking prescription drugs, which is what everyone wants to throw at me. I will tell you that if one of the side effects is fatigue, this is best handled with diet and excercise. It really does make a difference. I'm happy to share whatever I have learned through my experience. The NB has been the most valuable tool in giving me energy and in changing my diet.
