Welcome, Spring Time Cleansers!

It's spring cleaning time, which means we've got to clean out our internal systems, too! Our cleanse is starting on April 29, so get ready! We'll be posting up a shopping list, articles, tips, and the full plan in the coming days, so you have no excuse not to participate. Plus, you've got a community full of fellow Blasters here for support and guidance. After all, the family that cleanses together, stays together!

Tell us, do you plan on participating? What are your goals with this 3 day cleanse? What do you hope to achieve?

Got questions about the cleanse? Let us know and we'll get on it.

Happy Cleansing!

-NutriBullet Team

Yes I will be participating!!!
Am VERY excited to participate! The more small changes I make to get healthier and slimmer spur me on to more changes.
Yes i will participating

I am excited about this!! I just wish we could do this during the weekend vs. the beginning of the work week....
I will be Participating ready for monday =)
Count me in! I started eating right and clean since i purchased the Nutribullet, joined several 30 day green smoothie challenges the past 2 months and I think green smoothie has become a part of my daily routine. Not a day passes by without at least a serving of it. And the best part, I convinced my husband, who's a soda lover to drink green smoothie everyday and my two toddlers are loving it too.

Let's do this! Glad theLet's do this! Glad the shopping list was posted in advance - I already have most of this, but I'll be sure to get the rest this weekend! Is there any ingredient subbing allowed? (I'm really not a fan of walnuts - I'm diabetic, so I prefer almonds. Is that going to vastly affect the particular recipes?)
I'm in, going shopping tomorrow! I hope something covers up that coconut water taste :) yuk

Definately in * Have a yearly on WED(5/1) hope this is OK to do prior with all the test Doctors like to do * And I'm also doing Insanity which is a very intense workout. Hope my body can with stand this workout with eating. What do you think * I should be OK. I really need a good cleanse.
Let's do this!!! I am so ready!!
I'm in!
I'm in. Trying to convince my Hubby to do it too!
I'm in hate cucumber is that going to be an issue. Also Epsom Salts what s that for.
paulina, if the weekend works better for you then you can save the plan and start it on Friday or Saturday. That way you'll have the feedback from the group to refer to and we'll still be here to help you through it!
I will give it a try.....
Jeepyj wrote: I'm in hate cucumber is that going to be an issue. Also Epsom Salts what s that for.
The Epsom Salts are for the optional epsom salt baths. These can help enhance your cleanse by drawing toxins out and helping to relax you! You'll get the whole scoop in the plan we post Sunday!

Spamie, a cleanse is a time to allow your body to rest. I would not recommend doing Insanity at the same time. I have done those workouts and know how, well, "insane" or intense they are. You will need more calories than this plan provides and the workouts won't give your body the rest it needs to focus on detoxifying and rejuvenating. If you would like to join in, I'd suggest maybe supplementing the cleanse with some additional whole, plant-based foods in meal and snack form for extra calories and protein. This is more of a modified cleanse, but would still be beneficial if you're feeling like you just need to clean up your diet a bit :)
Glenda1965 wrote: I would like to do it, but what can i do about the fact that i cannot stand the taste of ginger....
If you don't like ginger, just omit it...no problem! If you want to sub in some cinnamon or apple cider vinegar in it's place, then that's a good option too.
Looking forward to Monday. I'm in :)
LymeFighter wrote: I'm in, going shopping tomorrow! I hope something covers up that coconut water taste :) yuk
You can't even tell it's in there other than the fact that it gives it a little bit of a sweetness. If you try it and can taste it, then feel free to sub in another liquid - water, chilled green tea, unsweetened almond milk. Just no dairy, juices with added sugar, caffeine, or carbonated beverages :)

Joia, almonds are perfectly fine to sub for the walnuts. Seeds like pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, chia, flax, etc. are also good options. Much better to sub something similar vs. omitting :)

Take the shopping list and make a trip to the store to get stocked up! Come back to this NutriLiving forum on Sunday evening to download the entire 3-day plan! That will show you the recipes, exercises, and how to prepare your relaxing evening wind-down soak. We'll be here throughout the cleanse doing it with you guys :) Also looks like we have several people joining us, so we'll all be here for support and to answer questions.

I am committing to 3 days . . . what have I gotten myself in to?????
I'm in, today is Friday, so when do we get the whole plan and instructions?
I'm in...
I thought that is what the Epsom salts would be for I use it all the time. I have everything listed except the coconut water so will get it this weekend and be ready for Monday.
Okay, I'm in too! I'm tired of feeling bloated and tired of being tired!! Can't wait to see my results after 3 days!
bonnieetuk wrote: I'm in, today is Friday, so when do we get the whole plan and instructions?
We'll post it Sunday Bonnie! We want everyone to do it together so were holding out to prevent anyone from getting a head start :)
I am in. When do we start?
Me and my hubby are in. :D Shopping is done and we're ready to cleanse. I typically have one smoothie a day, but it isn't enough to get the weight off, even though I do exercise. :( I hope this cleanse will give me a new movtivation and I REALLY hope I can stick to it. I have a hard time with snacking. I also love to cook, so I guess I will have to give myself a break and do some much needed Spring cleaning while I'm at it, and keep myself out of the kitchen!
I'm in! Looking forward to it.
I'm in...will shop this weekend...waiting on the plan...

You deserve a break! You'll do great. You'll be having a NutriBlast every 3 hours so there will be no time for snacking :)
did anyone down load the information about the cleanse?? as the site still doesn't have it available to any of us.. I don't want to buy all the supplies needed if not going to attempt it.. I really need to go shopping sometime today and this is getting frustrating.

Sorry about the frustration. The plan will be posted today. The shopping list is all you need to get ready. The main idea of the plan is 3 days of all NutriBlasts...each day has 5 Blasts spaced three hours apart throughout the day. There are optional Epsom salt baths and detoxifying stretches. It will be tasty and fun!
Missed this cleanse in spring, but I'm going to start it tomorrow . My summer cleanse (lol) ! It will be Friday 26 July to Sunday 28 July ! I've never done a cleanse before in my life, but I have been drinking a blast for breakfast 5 days a week since December 2012. Wish me luck !!!

Good luck! Let us know how it goes and if you have any questions along the way!
Thank you ! First day went great, didn't get hungry. Question : is it ok to have ginger tea in between blasts or just drinking water is better ?

Ginger tea would be fine to have between Blasts! As long as you are staying hydrated and avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and sugar in your beverages :)
Ok ! I completed the three day cleanse this weekend. It was great. I felt more energy and noticed my blood pressure got better. I do take BP medication, but the blasts made a difference. So what to do after the cleanse ?
Thanks for your replies

After the Cleanse, I'd suggest you slowly transition back to whole foods. Maybe try a vegetable-based soup, some steamed vegetables and gluten-free grains like quinoa. Try to stick to a "clean" diet as long as possible. A "clean diet" means no added sugars, no processed/packaged foods (stick to whole foods as long as possible). Also, no alcohol, caffeine, smoking, or dairy. Try to stick with a plant-based diet for a while, then if desired slowly add in some organic, grass fed meats, and fish from clean sources. Try to add in some grains, sticking to gluten-free/wheat-free for a while - then when those are added back, take note to see if your digestion is affected at all. If not, then you may continue to consume these. http://www.nutriliving.com/blog/gluten-free-trend-or-legitimate-medical-concern A detox is a great way to focus on how foods affect your body. I'd definitely suggest continuing to have a NutriBlast daily as a meal replacement or snack depending on your caloric needs! Congrats on completing the cleanse. We'll see you here next time we roll one out :)
Krista, thank you for you're reply. This is very helpful advise. You are so right on that a detoxis a great way to focus on how foods affect your body . This has been a great experience . Thanks again !!! :)

I'm new to the NutriBlast family and was wondering what you can use instead of almond milk? Never tried it, however I do have an intolerance to milk. My husband and I have been looking for a detox and this seems like the natural way to go. Thanks to anyone for any advice.

There are several other non-dairy milk alternatives. Try to find one that is unsweetened. There is oat milk, hemp milk, rice milk, coconut milk, flaxseed milk, hazelnut milk....some are found in the fridge section by the cow's milk, others are on the aisle usually w/ the cold cereals in aseptic packaging. Also, here are some recipes for homemade milk alternatives :) http://www.nutriliving.com/blog/4-best-alternatives-dairy
Hi, I also use, Coconut water.
My friend and I are starting this 3-day cleanse tomorrow!!! I'm excited. I will post the results!!!
I'm almost done. One more blast and I have completed 3-day cleanse. I'm proud of myself. :) I did feel light headed and hungry. I also notice that it was less then 1000 calories. I read in other posts that we should never eat less than 1200 calories. I do not feel better than when I started. Not sure what I could have done better. good thing is that I'm not craving sweets and i hope I can up eating healthier. I have lost 3lbs but I think they will be back hopefully not ;) By the way, after the first day my friend could not do it. She did not like the taste and was also very hungry. Oh well.

Everyone's body responds differently and your diet prior to starting can have a big impact on how you feel during the cleanse. It is great that you tried the cleanse and I am sure you learned a lot of new flavor combos and ideas for Blasts. Starting with a cleanse is a great way to commit to making healthy changes, often it is hard to get started on a new eating plan. You are in the right place if you are looking for tools, recipes and tips to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
Hello All! I'm doing a 3-day Spring Cleanse and I was wondering if you can eat raw nuts in between the blasts with water of course to battle the hunger.

Yes you can!!
How often can you do a 3-day clense? I know this one is from last spring, but I need a little jump start and wanted to give it a try. Is it dangerous to do once a month or every other month?
mjbself wrote: How often can you do a 3-day clense? I know this one is from last spring, but I need a little jump start and wanted to give it a try. Is it dangerous to do once a month or every other month?
That's up to you and how you feel. It also depends on if your body needs a cleanse - if you're eating healthy the majority of the time then maybe every other month or once every 3 months...however 3 days is a short cleanse and more of a reset so if you tend to get off track monthly, then once a month might be a good option for you. I don't recommend doing a full-on week-long cleanse more than once every six months. You can intersperse this 3 day cleanse in with the longer cleanse if you find yourself feeling a little lethargic or overpowered by a sweet tooth or whatnot :)

I haven't been able to locate any information about a 2014 spring cleanse, but really like the idea of starting off with 3-days and it will work perfectly with the long weekend coming up. A family member has a severe allergy to kiwi, so we avoid it in the house... any recommendations to replace the Lime Kiwi Blast (155 calories) and Kiwi Nana Mint (255 calories)? The website has plenty of recipes, but I'm unsure if these particular recipes are chosen for a specific purpose and I am assuming we should also try to match the calorie count... Thanks in advance!

You can replace the kiwi with pear, I would use about 1/4 of a pear. Here is the link to the 3 day cleanse: https://nutriliving-images.imgix.net/documents/pdf/NL_Spring_Cleanse.pdf
