Hello all!  After Blasting for many weeks, I have found that some things just don't taste good to me in a Blast.  The first item that completely turned me off was Spirulina.  No matter how little I used, I knew it was in there and it grossed me out.  And the color it turns the Blast is not appealing to me either.

Second is the spice Turmeric.  I read a few recipes that called for it.  And I read how good it is for you.  So I bought some.  I don't like it at all!

But there are other things that are really great in a blast, and I make sure to add them every time.  The first yummy item is Ginger root.  I buy it whole and lop off a 1/2 inch section.

I also have found Mint leaves to be an incredible addition.  I throw about three leaves (and maybe a stem) in a blast and it really adds a lot!  I have mainly been going by the recipe "Kiwi Nana Mint" in the recipe section.  I change it up a bit sometimes, and it's always one of my favorites!

Just my two cents here.  Of course, everyone's tastes are different.

Next experiment:  Pumpkin!

I love using Mint in my blasts, it makes them so refreshing!
Thanks for sharing your tips with the group! :)
I too love ginger root. When I use an avocado to make my shake, I will squeeze a lemon and then shave off a few small pieces of the rind and toss them in. Between the ginger root and lemon, it will make any shake refreshing.
I don't care for turmeric either - but I know it's good for you, I try and just put a sprinkle in

I have not tried the first 2. Like mint leaves/stem in wheat grass juice. I grow my own wheat grass. Have tried using candied ginger cut in small pieces and soaked in sun tea which I use instead of water. Nutrients!! Yes some of my greens and not the most tasty, but, I get them down. Have a chuck of fresh ginger waiting for me to be brave enough to try it. I make ginger rice w/ various combinations chicken/veggies/chicken broth & soup base w/ ginger from a jar. Like it strong. Becky likes to play w/ food!!
I like to drink my cucumber! It is served at the raw food meet-up I go to in Goshen, Indiana. Peel cucumber, cube it into the large container, adding lemon & honey to taste. No need for water unless you like it thinner. Very refreshing.Becky likes to play w/ food.
Any yard greens foragers here? I have tried dandy leaves, purslane, & one that looks similar to clover w/ tiny yellow flowers. Becky likes to play w/ food.
