What caused my diarrhea, gas and cramping?

I have been using the Nutribullet for about a week now and everything seemed fine until maybe the 4th day of use.  After drinking a blast (spinach, carrots, apple, water)...I experienced quite a bit of gas, cramping and then diarrhea.  I understand the whole process of cleasning and detoxing, but it seems like anytime I eat ANYTHING, I experience some type of diarrhea.  Is this normal?

I should mention that my gallbladder was removed a couple of years ago and I did eat homemade fried rice (used olive oil, brown rice, and frozen vegetables) last night, so it may have been the oil, not sure.

Since you're not sure if it was the NutriBlast or the other meal, I'd wait for a bit until things clear up and try the Blast by itself. Be sure to consume plenty of water or coconut water so you do not become dehydrated and you can replenish electrolytes.

It is not rare to experience this after beginning to consume more high-fiber foods especially if you are not used to eating many fruits, veggies, grains, and other plant-based foods. It looks like your NutriBlast was not high in fat which tends to be the issue as you know when the gallbladder is removed.

My suggestion is to cut back a bit and start slower - maybe a small cup instead of the large cup. Gradually increase the fiber in your diet. This can help normalize bowel movements by reducing incidents of diarrhea or constipation. However, it can also make gas and cramping worse. The best approach is to slowly increase the amount of fiber in your diet over a period of weeks.

In addition, here are some tips to help reduce the chances of experiencing these.

Thank you for the response. I didn't drink a Blast yesterday to give my system a chance (hopefully) to calm down. I made one in the small cup (spinach, carrots and 1/2 apple). So far so good, the only problem now is that there is some burning in my throat from drinking! Will keep you updated. Thanks again :)
