Can I add protein powder to a NutriBlast?

Is it acceptable to add protein powder to a Nutribast? I notice none of the recipes use it. I do like to add a scoop of low fat, low sugar protein because it gives me more energy to get from breakfast to lunch. What is your advice ?

Question to the dietitian IQuestion to the dietitian I recently bought a product called Whey protein powder it also says 52% protein no artificial coloring or flavoring no preservatives contains at least 30% of the daily value of 18 vitamins and minerals and suggest two scoops I use a quarter of one of the scoops and only water in the Nutriblast it says low fat and low sodium I don't use the recommended amount in my nutiblast but I do like to have a lot of fruit in variety in doing so I also add homemade Greek yogurt as well as walnuts and almonds and the blast superfood product I want to make sure I have a enough protein so is it the idea of balance between carbohydrates and proteins to maintain a certain constant blood sugar level as well as the glycemic index of the fruit itself I would also like to know your opinion on the best protein powder available on the market in your opinion thanks Jaynie
Whey protein is one of the most studied proteins out there and if you can get a good clean source, like an organic grass-fed whey, that would be your best option. I would also suggest adding a cup of greens to your Blast like spinach, kale, mixed greens, etc. Getting a healthy amount of veggies is always important for a healthy body and a steady blood sugar. Here is an article on best protein powders, remember everyone is different:
