Do whole grain rolled oats cause spiles in glucose levels?

I've been thinking of adding whole grain rolled oats to my nutriblasts but internet pundits appear to be split over the efficacy of oats - something about spikes in glucose levels? I'd love to get Nutriliving's take on this subject.

Official Answer

Whole rolled oats are a great source of complex carbohydrates and will actually help stabilize blood sugars. You have to be careful with the quick cooking oats, those are lower in fiber and may cause blood sugar to rise more quickly.
