Am I getting a cold because I've been detoxing?

I have had my NutriBullet for a week now and I absolutely love it. I have been experimenting with lots of different combinations, mixing up my greens and my fruit selections and adding nuts and seeds. Yesterday and today I feel like I am getting a cold, my nose is snuffly and my muscles ache a little bit. It is not terrible, but I am generally a very healthy person and only really get a cold once a year usually in the deepest midwinter or when I have been burning the candle at both ends. This week I have had plenty of sleep and exercise and blasted my body with lots of vitamin C and antioxidants. Could it be that my body is experiencing a kind of "Healing Crisis" and the cold symptoms are due to my body releasing toxins?  Or just an unfortunate coincidence? Don't worry I am definitely going to continue with my Nutriblast routine, I just thought I would open this up for discussion in case anyone has any experience of this?

Laura it could be detoxing symptoms from what you describe. If its detoxing symptoms it should not develop into chest congestion like a cold can.

Detoxing symptoms can range from mild aches and pains, allergy like symptoms, low grade fever, sweats, rashes, headaches, fatigue and just generally felling blah for a few days. If some one is very toxic these symptoms can last longer.

Don't overdo the exercise, keep it moderate, get some good sweat in, drink lots of water, blast with fresh lemon, ginger, a little pineapple, cayenne, raw cocao, raw apple cider vinegar and raw honey. This will accelerate the cleanse process and is anti-inflammatory.

I hope this helps,

Healthy wishes
