Can I use quinoa in a blast?

A friend gave me some Quinoa yesterday and I have never heard of it before.  Can this be used in a blast or would it just need to be cooked to eat like rice?  It seems very interesting when I read about it. Amazing all of the things I do not know about!

Sharon, I have a little bag of Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) that I got as a free sample. I too have been wondering what to do with it. I'm pretty sure I read that it needs to be cooked and then added to a Blast, but I'm not positive. The instructions that came with the sample say to cook and eat it like oatmeal. Seems too time consuming to cook for 20 minutes and then add to a Blast. -Steve
Thanks, I got just a bag full from a friend with no instructions, but I will have to see what I can do with it, since I do not cook much any more! If anyone knows anything exciting please let us know!
Quinoa must be cooked or sprouted before adding to your NutriBlast. It is absolutely delicious and very healthy! Cook a large batch and keep it stored in the fridge for a few days. You can also use in meals in place of rice or other grains. Enjoy and let us know what Blast recipes you use it in and how you like it. :)
Thanks so much & I will let you know.
I love quinoa! Great addition to any meal with a yummy lean protein! :)
I have not tried in a blast yet but did try a mixture of green beans & a little sweet potato with a side of salmon ... it was very good! I also mixed some in my salad today & that was good.
I do not know how well it sprouts but if good, could add. I grow a Now Mix of sprouts and use them as a buffer for the less paletible greens, like swiss chard and kale.
