What suggestions do you have for thallesemia, high cholesterol and heart disease?

I am new to the NutriBullet family and hope this question is being sent to the correct forum so here goes: I suffer from thallesemia and I'm overweight and too tired for regular exercise. My cholesterol is high and heart issues are a concern in my family. What suggestions would you have for me? Thank you.

Some general recommendations are below...please discuss w/ your Dr. before changing your diet. For anemia: Combining foods rich in iron like pumpkin seeds, spinach, breakfast cereals enriched with iron, tofu, cooked beans, wheat germ, broccoli and apricots with foods high in vitamin C like grapefruits, kiwi, oranges, strawberries, lemons, papaya and brussels sprouts, can actually increase absorption of iron in the body. Including lean meats in your diet like fish, chicken and organic grass-fed beef, can also help increase iron stores. Check out our weight loss forum for some great tips to get started. For cholesterol, think about including foods high in soluble fiber like cooked oats. In general eating more fruits and veggies helps with heart health so just get started by Blasting once a day :) For some tasty recipes, head over to the recipes page and type in the particular ailment you wish to focus on - you'll find recipes that are tailored to that particular topic. I'm curious what I could put in my smoothies to help with Fibromyalgia, I wake up tender, sore and bruised all the time :(. Also I have eczema that is on and around my lips and it never goes away, is there anything I can add to my smoothies to help heal my skin?
The great thing is that healthy foods start from the inside and work their way outside - so you are actually what you eat! In addition to the article below, I'd suggest the following ingredients: sesame seeds as well as chia or flax (high in omega-3s), vitamin A rich foods like carrots, pumpkin, leafy greens, seaweeds (maybe not in your NutriBlast, but sushi maybe!), micro-algae (spirulina and chlorella) are great for purifying the blood of toxins, cucumber to help cool the inflammation. Avoid: High saturated/trans fat,spicy, or greasy foods. I'd also try reducing or avoiding allergy and inflammation forming foods like dairy and sugar. Boost digestion with some probiotics or digestive enzymes. And last, but definitely not least - eczema usually clears when stress be sure to practice some stress-reducing activities daily!
