What can I add to help with constipation?

I started "blasting" about 3 weeks ago and I am loving it so far except one thing... my husband and myself are both experiencing constipation like really bad. We each have a blast as a meal replacement once a day and typically follow recipes from the book or this site. Before blasting we did eat a lot of unhealthy food. My question is, will the constipation fade away once my body has gotten used to all the fruits, veggies, seeds and nuts I am now consuming, or should I be adding something to help counter constipation?

Official Answer

You need more water and fiber. Drink more water during the day. You need at least 1/2 your body weight in fluid ounces of water daily even more if you sweat a lot or are sick.

So if you weigh 150 pounds you would need a minimum of 75 ounces of fluid daily.

Increased fiber intake without additional water = constipation!

In my opinion i would look to be adding fibrous vegetables/seeds. In addition, increasing your water intake could help get you going again
Thanks i guess drinking more water makes since as well as adding more fibrous veggies. I think I am already seeing an improvement. But i will update again later in the week
I am having the same problem! 4 days on my juice fast, and I can not go! I am so bloated, and miserable. Please help! Is it my body holding on to all of the nutrients?
