Are there specific ingredients I should avoid if I'm trying to lose weight?

I have been using my Nutribullet RX for 3 weeks straight.  I make a fruit blast in the morning and a vegetable blast for lunch and then eat a basic dinner.  I have also given up all forms of soda and carbonated water for 6 weeks.  I thought for sure I would begin losing weight rather quickly.  But, to date I have only dropped 5 pounds.  My morning blast consists of spinach, parsley, kale, frozen berries, 1/2 of a frozen banana, 2 tablespoons of flax seeds, 2 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut flakes, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and 1 cup of coconut water.  My afternoon blast consists of spinach, kale, celantro, 1 roma tomato, 1-2 carrots, 1/3 of a cucumber, a chunk each of red and orange bell pepper, 1 small clove of garlic, 1 pinch of red pepper flakes, 2/3 cup chicken stock and water to the fill line.  Are there any ingredients that I have listed that should be avoided?  Please advise. Thanks!

The best way to understand what you are eating is to add up your calories. is a great website where you can build recipes and figure out how many calories you are eating. It is sounds like you are doing great, 5 pounds is a lot of weight and you do not want to lose a lot of weight over a short period of time. Gradual weight loss is best and healthy, 1 pound of weight per week is ideal, so it sounds like you are on the right track! Here is a great website that can help you find a local RD that could sit down with you and help set up a meal plan and understand what you are eating:
