Why do stomachs growl

Official Answer

The digestive system is a long system that goes all the way from the mouth to the anus. When the system tries to push the food downwards, it uses various muscle contractions. These contractions push food down your digestive tract and help mix different liquids, foods, and digestive juices together. As those things are mixed together and broken down, air bubbles and gas get contracted as well, which creates the growling sound we often hear.
