Why are my green smoothies causing me to wake up with a sore throat and mucus?
I just began drinking green smoothies about 2 weeks ago. In these smoothies I've been putting 3 leaves of organic swiss chard, 3 stalks of non-organic celery, non-organic pre-washed carrots, a teaspoon of spirulina, and one garlic clove. I wake up the next day with a sore throat and a lot of mucus. Once I spit out the mucus and have a glass of water the sore throat goes away. I'm wondering if I should stop drinking green smoothies now.
