How can I identify recipes that are renal (or kidney) friendly? I need recipes that are low potassium and low phosphorous, low salt, low sugar and low in protein.

It is best that you learn about the foods that are high, moderate or low in potassium and phosphorous. This would help you find the best foods for you.

Many of our smoothie recipes that do not include salt are low in sodium.

There are also fruits that are lower in sugar and higher in fiber like berries. Avoid things like pineapple and mangoes as they are higher in sugar content. Finally, be sure to add some protein to your diet however, it is also best to follow the guidelines that your doctor provides in regards to your nutrient intake.
