What are some good recipes for type 2 diabetics?

Looking for Recipes for Type II Diabetics - soups, smoothies, meal replacements that don't spike or raise blood sugar, thank you.

Official Answer

You can alter recipes by using low glycemic index fruits like apples, pears, grapefruit, peaches, apricots, cherries, figs and berries. I would also test out a Blast and see if it in fact raises your blood sugar. We have a ton of diabetic customers that are surprised that the Blasts do not actually raise their blood sugar. Since they are high in fiber and healthy fats if you add chia and hemp seeds, blood sugars seem to stay more consistent.

I made a blast today for a snack with 1 cup spinach, 1/3 cup frozen peaches & 1/3 Cup Fresh Blueberries. I used water for my max line & thought it would taste blah. To my surprise it was enjoyable & just sweet enough. Plus it maintained my blood glucose level without elevating it during test after 2 hours.
