Can a week of bad food/diet make me feel sick?

I have been doing so well since April making a blast for breakfast & eating salads for lunch for the most part and feeling great!  I went on vacation over the holiday and of course went out to eat most of the week with family and eating non-healthy things.  Since I came home, I have been ill.  I have not been able to eat anything but a bland diet and have had to take medicine to stop other issues.  I want to go back where I was before vacation, as I felt great! My question is, would a week of eating badly make this big of an effect or could this be something else?  No one else I was with for the week has gotten ill.

Sdowner,
Yes this change inSdowner,
Yes this change in your diet back to unhealthy foods can make you feel very sick. Your body had become clean and was getting lots of nutrition. Then that abruptly stopped. Once it is clean it doesn't like a regular diet of junk any longer. The unhealthy foods are just that unhealthy in that they contain toxins and the body works hard to get rid of them and they are not just absent in nutrition they are nutrient thieves robbing precious nutrient stores from your body. An occasional treat it can handle but more and it revolts.
You could have also been exposed to a virus or bacteria that is making you ill, however my bet is the change in diet is the reason you feel badly.

Start incorporating healthy foods back into your diet. The NB makes that easy on your body.

Thanks so much Wally and that was exactly my thoughts. It is very hard when gone for a week or longer and living with other people who do not eat health to stay where you need to be. I was at the point where my body craved good things, like salad and fruits and I will get back there, as I felt good that way. Of course there are those that say I should not have let my body not want that bad food....but then we all know how that is! I figured yesterday that since I could have yogurt, bananas, blueberries & water....hey blast it and start...I did and all seems to be going OK, so will start adding slowly. No one else I was with was ill or has gotten ill since I left, so guessing food. Thanks for your thoughts! Looking forward to healthy again........ :)
Sdownour, I am glad to help. Just get back on track and in a few days you will bee back to normal. Just remember not to many high sugar fruits.
