Should I add yogurt to a blast?

I'm new and was reading the article "Top 10 blasting mistakes" #8 "Adding what you think are "healthy" ingredients, lists yogurt as undesirable. I thought yogurt would be a healthy ingredient. Is there a reason not to add yogurt? Thanks for any information.

It depends on what your body can tolerate. Some people do well with yogurt and other dairy products. Make sure you are getting a plain yogurt with the live active cultures in tact. Keifer is a great option and Greek yogurt is a healthy yogurt to add as it is high in protein and can help you feel full longer. Many people do better on a dairy free diet due to the inability to digest lactose. In this case I would use almond, rice or coconut milk as a dairy alternative. Coconut keifer is a great cultured product, just be careful with the almond and coconut yogurts, those can be very high in sugar.

I am not a Nutritionist, but have been trying to eat healthy for decades. I don't use yogurt because of the fat, calories, and sugar that many yogurts contain. I would rather use something like unsweetened soy or almond milk, which has very low calories plus alot of calcium.I also try and stay away from dairy products.
Thank You, Sarah. This information is very helpful.
Thank you, Captainbob. Fat and calories are also things to be considered besides the sugar. I had not thought of these. I will check out the yogurt choices and the alternatives. Again thanks for the reply.
Im thinking of making my own Greek yogurt. Is there any one out there ,That is? I like to get a good yogurt maker. Any tips on brands?

I like to alternate my superboosts, but it won't hurt to add both in the same Blast. Remember that those two have a couple of the same ingredients (cacao and chia).
