Official Answer

Combining foods rich in iron like pumpkin seeds, spinach, breakfast cereals enriched with iron, tofu, cooked beans, wheat germ, broccoli and apricots with foods high in vitamin C like grapefruits, kiwi, oranges, strawberries, lemons, papaya and brussels sprouts, can actually increase absorption of iron in the body. Including lean meats in your diet like fish, chicken and organic grass-fed beef, can also help increase iron stores.

is there a blast for someone anemic and has had a gastric bypass?
You can use the same ingredients as the ones listed below. I would also suggest finding a protein powder to add in order to get adequate amounts of protein in your day. Here is a great article on how to pick a good recipe for you: http://www.nutriliving.com/blog/which-protein-powder-best-you
