Can jasmine tea calm the nerves?

I was told that jasmine tea calms the nerves.  Would you know about that? I have to be careful of my caffeine intake because I get dehydrated from time to time and that works against it.  And I have to drink a lot of water.

Jasmine oil or flavoring is usually added to a type of tea such as green, white, black or oolong so health benefits are mainly coming from the type of tea you start with. Jasmine oil (similar to lavender in aromatherapy) is known for its relaxing, stress relieving benefits so it could possibly help. For hydration, most of these teas have little caffeine and aren't really dehydrating so you should be fine. Just be sure to keep drinking your water too!
